Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After sleeping in one of the hotels in Kampala, you will have breakfast, and then you will be picked up by our experienced tour guide, who will provide you with all the information you may need. Depart for Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the gorilla in Nakasongola. Thereafter, have lunch and drive to the park to get an insight into the prime gushing Nile drop through the narrow gorge, you have an amazing experience, and head to the lodge to check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive and Lunch Cruise in Murchison National Park

Embark on an early game drive after breakfast, you will spot animals among which will be the Lions, buffalo, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, Rothschild’s giraffe, oribi, among others. Head back for your lunch meal after the eventful game drive and relax abit as you wait to head for the stunning boat cruise where you will have views of Hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, several water birds such as the shoebill stork, and various other birds. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Having had breakfast transfer to Kibale National Park as you drive through the Albertain escarpment of the East African Rift Valley through the journey you will have dynamic views of Lake Albert, and the mountains of the moon. On reaching Fort Portal you will have lunch and then have a cultural tour of Toro kingdom. Then drive straight to the lodge, check in dinner overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

On this day you will do the chimp trekking adventure, have breakfast early enough, and head to the park headquarters for a briefing then head to the forest where you will spend 2-5 hours You will see other primates like the Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys, Olive baboons plus more others that make the forest qualify as the primate capital of the world. You will have lunch after the trek and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with game viewing. On arrival at the park in the evening hours check in dinner and rest up for the day.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Warm up with a cup of coffee and head for the game drive in the Kasenyi plains to meet with the early risers that will overwhelm you at the way they relate while in the wild. See the various animals that live here, the bushbucks, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes, Lions, and elephants. You will then return to then get back to the lodge with your lunch ready to be served freshen up and head for the afternoon 2hours boat cruise along the Kazing a channel which also comes along with a lot of beauties to be seen. For example the yawning hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, various bird species such as red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink-backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, shoe bill stock. Thereafter head back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

A breakfast meal will be ready for you when you wake, eat and then transfer to Bwindi’s impenetrable national park where you to do the pleasing gorilla trekking activity You will a scenic drive through Ishahas ha sector of the queen as you are presented with more game to watch in this sector where you surely won’t miss on viewing the tree climbing lions at a very short distance thus giving you clear photos. you will have lunch along the way and drive on In the evening arrival at the park for dinner and a sleep over.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking and Nature Walk

With a packed lunch and done with having your breakfast meal, you will head to the park headquarters for an important briefing before you penetrate through the forest for trekking You will then be grouped and head to the forest to face the rare mountain gorillas, the trek is a bit strenuous and the time you may take during the trek will depend on the movement of the gorillas. When the activity is done and having earned a delightful memory of it. you will then head for a community walk to the nearby villages in case of interest, explore their culture, and more items that they may have to showcase. Thereafter be back at the hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park Rwanda

Have your delicious morning meal and head to the land of ‘a thousand hills’ (Rwanda) which also harbors a good number of gorillas in Parc National des Volcanoes PNV. This park lies in the virunga region so while here you will have scenic views of the peaks like Karisnmbi, Muhabura, Sabinyo, and Bisoke. Then have lunch and stay.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park

Eat early morning breakfast ready with your packed lunch and drinking water head for the park headquarters where you will again have a warm cup of coffee since the chills are still on you will be briefed and in accompaniment, you will see the vibrant Kinyarwanda dance being performed. Head to the forest for the day’s main activity it will take you some good hours to find these apes, though the result of finding them is rewarding thereafter you will head back to the headquarters for certificate awarding and then drive back to the hotel for dinner and night’s rest.

Day 10: Departure and Kigali City Tour

Day 2: Drive to Musanze (Ruhengeri) in Volcanoes National Park

Located just outside of Kigali City Centre in the Gasabo district, Kigali Genocide Memorial & Museum was created by a joint partnership of the Kigali City Council and the UK-based Aegis Trust. The centre is an extremely moving, challenging, educational and ultimately inspiring as well as a great place to understand the cause, tragedy and successful rebuilding post-genocide. The memorial hosts a tour which is transparent and educational but very sombre and humbling when guests realise that over 250,000 deceased are buried on the site of the memorial.

Drive to Volcanoes National Park

The bustling city of Musanze, also referred to as Ruhengeri, is situated in northwest Rwanda. Musanze is the hub of Rwanda’s gorilla trekking tourism route, offering many cafes, bars, and restaurants. It serves as the gateway to the spectacular Volcanoes National Park and is encircled by a number of attractions including the towering Mount Karisimbi, one of five impressive volcanoes in the park; the bat-filled Musanze Caves; and the beautiful twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo – set against a spectacular backdrop of rolling green hills. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes National Park

Gorilla Trekking in the Volcanoes National Park offers visitors the unique opportunity of discovering the 10 families of gorillas that live within the national park. Visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee before the trek starts and will be separated into groups of 8 depending on their physical abilities. Each group is guided by the 14 Day Explore Uganda & Rwanda guide and two scouts who are well trained in emergency situations. The amount of time set aside per trek is different depending on where the gorilla family is situated. Some trips may take as little as half an hour and some taking the better part of the day.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking and Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda offers Golden monkey trekking. This unique experience allows guests in groups of up to eight to look for and discover golden monkeys within their natural habitat. The monkeys are incredibly active and enjoy showing off for the tourists and researchers that they encounter daily. The monkeys can be found closer to the base of the volcano and enjoy eating the bamboo vegetation in the area.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Located in south-western Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest. It is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting opportunities – the forest is home to half of the remaining mountain gorillas on earth. This gorilla experience takes place among a rugged landscape of dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys, and steep ridges.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for gorilla trekking. Before 8:00 am, report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers. The 14 Day Explore Uganda & Rwanda guides will then take you through the bush, pushing your way through the undergrowth, to track the gorillas. (Please note this trek can take from 30 minutes to 5-6 hours).

A reasonable degree of fitness is required, as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them ‘talk’ to one another, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male, the Silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. It’s amazing to think there are only about 650 of these beautiful creatures left.

Batwa Cultural Village

The Batwa Cultural village is where the Batwa (Pigmies) still live in the same way they used to years ago in tree houses. The Batwa only began leaving their forest homes around 15 years ago and they have been able to remain on this land thanks to the support of a generous American benefactor who donated the land back to them and created a cultural program. The fees from visiting tourists and are given to the Batwa project and they delight in welcoming visitors to their village and demonstrating how they make weapons, dance, make fires using sticks and cook.

Day 6: Transfer to Ishasha Sector, Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Surrounded by other wonderful parks in the western region of Uganda, the Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its rich biodiversity, wildlife, and history. In the southern part of the park, the remote Ishaha sector is home to tree-climbing lions who spend long lazy days dozing in the pretty fig trees. The Uganda Kob, a type of antelope, are watched carefully by the tree lions while grazing the plains around Lake Edward, enjoy fishing and more game watching – make sure to look out for chimpanzees, elephants, crocodiles, and perennial and migratory bird species.

Day 7: Adventure in the Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park

One of the most popular parks in Uganda, the Queen Elizabeth National Park, lies in the western region of the country. In the northern part of the park, visitors can look forward to boating along the Kazinga Channel, which is home to the largest population of hippos in the world and an abundance of Nile crocodiles. Along the banks, an incredible number of birds and wild animals flock to the river’s edge.

At Kyambura Gorge, fondly known as ‘Valley of the Apes’, chimpanzees are at home in a world of lush tropical rainforest spread with canopies, and three salty crater lakes are decorated with swathes of pink flamingos. On the western shore of Lake George, the vast Kasenyi Plains are inhabited by lions and several interesting bird species.

Day 12: Full Day Adventure in Murchison Falls National Park

The Murchison Falls National Park Game Drive takes place in the Murchison Falls National Park. This grassland is bound by the Victoria Nile entering Lake Albert, with the Albert Nile flowing out of it. Lions, leopards, and waterbirds, along with hippos, can also be spotted here. Much of the southern part is populated with dense bush and forest, where lions and giraffes can also be seen.

Murchison Falls Boat Trip

Launches run from Paraa to the base of the falls. The three-hour return journey is for many a highlight of a trip to Murchison. Along the river there are thousands of hippos, enormous crocodiles, amazing bird life a possible sighting of the rare shoebill.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to roughly half of the world’s mountain gorillas and is one of the two national parks in Uganda where you can see these magnificent creatures. This is a fast and tiring safari, but worth every second, should you be lucky enough to see the gorillas.

It’s approximately an hour’s drive from Kampala to the park, so leave Kampala after having a heavy breakfast. You will also have en-route lunch in Mbarara, and after, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On your arrival at the park, check into your choice of optioned accommodation such as Mahogany Spring Lodge, Gorilla Mist Lodge, Wagtail Eco Safari Camp or Gift of Nature Lodge. Have dinner and overnight here as you wait for tomorrow’s memorable gorilla tracking.

 

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in their Natural Habitat

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast and go for a briefing at the park headquarters. By ranger guide, you will be told about the “dos and don’ts” while on tracking protocol. Thereafter you will be led by an experienced guide through the forest since it is impenetrable. You will be directed to the Gorilla groups of your choice. Enjoy them swinging on the trees, feeding, suckling young ones among others. Here, you will be given a maximum of one-hour taking photographs of these human closest friends since they share over 98%or their DNA with humans plus a display of uncanny human characteristics. dinner and overnight at the lodge as on day one.

 

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park, home to 13 Primate Species

Breakfast and leave Bwindi for another memorable activity in Kibale National Park known as Chimpanzee tracking.  On the way to Kibale, you will have an en-route game drive through the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park; expect to see the tree-climbing lions, herds of Uganda kob, buffalos, and elephants. Then proceed to Kibale with a stopover at the Equator for photographs, lunch en route. On your arrival at Kibale Park, check into one of the optioned lodges of your choice, such as Ndali lodge, Mountains of the Moon hotel, Kyaninga lodge, Ndali lodge Chimp Nest lodge, or Chimpanzee Guesthouse.

 

Day 4: Memorable Wild Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

chimpanzee Kibale Forest Breakfast and go for a briefing by the ranger guide about the “dos and don’ts” while with the Chimpanzees. Set off for a walk led by an experienced and fluent English-speaking ranger guide through the forest in search of chimpanzees. This memorable and adventurous walk will enable you to view chimpanzees swinging on the trees, feeding, suckling young ones, among other fun. You will also be given a maximum of one hour chanting and taking photographs of this human’s closest “cousin”.  Besides the Chimpanzees, there is simply the fabulous rainforest, the other primates, the trees, the flowers, the abundance of bird species, the sounds of the rainforest, butterflies floating through the air, the place to be, and then there are the chimpanzees grabbing your attention. Retire for lunch and relaxation as we prepare for the visit to the nearby Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary for a nature walk. Bigodi wetland is a bird watcher’s paradise with about 138 species. You will also view other primates like the black-and-white colobus, red-tailed, grey-cheeked mangabey, L’Hoest’s blue monkeys, as well as olive baboons. Bushbucks and mongooses can also be sighted here. Back to your lodge for dinner and overnight, as on day one.

 

Day 5: Return to Kampala

Day 1: Arrival At Entebbe International Airport

Upon your arrival, the company guide will warmly welcome you and drive you to the hotel with in Kampala and you will have a chance to enjoy a night out with in Kampala, you can as well opt for a short city tour depending on your time of arrival, have a rest and prepare your amazing journey.

 

Day 2: Transfer To Kibale National Park

Have breakfast at the lodge and after the guide will brief you fully about the safari and after you will start your drive to Kibale National park and have numerous stop overs for some photos and experiments. You will have lunch er-route and then proceed to the park where you will have an overnight and dinner.

 

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast and head for briefing about the chimp tracking activity. Chimpanzees are man’s closest cousins though they are one of the most threatened primate species. More primates like Black and white Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheeked Mangabey, Red tailed monkeys, bush babies, pottos and many bird species like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, Little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle, black bee eater and mammals like Elephants can be seen in this walk. After, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and relax on arrival.

 

Day 4: Game drive & a boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have a game drive in the northern part of the park on the Kasenyi Track in search of lions, elephants, solitary buffaloes. This is the best time for opportunities of viewing the cats in action owing to the vast population of Uganda Kobs. We have an excellent chance to view just about every animal here at very close range. Return to the lodge for your breakfast, before heading out for a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel. This gives you the opportunity to view wildlife up close: hippo’s huff and spray at a mere feet away from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others.

 

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Have breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable national park, this journey is so interesting as you get to enjoy the scenic view of the highlands of the great Kigezi region. Arrive in the evening and then check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have an early morning breakfast, and after proceed to the park headquarters to have a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. The rangers will then accompany you to the thick rainforest to start your search for the gentle giants. Trekkers are always advised to carry their raincoats and boots because the weather there is always unpredictable. There are also some potters who always help with the carrying of the luggage on behalf of the visitors, but at a small extra cost. It’s not always easy to predict how long gorilla tracking will take, and this also depends on the location of some families since some of them are far from the park headquarters. However, it always takes 2 to 7 hours to come into contact with them, and the rangers will always be there to guide you. Trackers are also advised to be physically fit before going for tracking. After your trek, go back at the lodge and have a late lunch(or opt for a packed lunch).

 

Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe Airport

Day 1: Arrival for Best of Uganda Safari

Day 2: Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Have an early breakfast and depart for Murchison Falls National Park. The journey is a magical adventure with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track Rhinos. Continue to Murchison Falls and proceed to the top of the falls, where you will behold the Nile is forced through a 7-meter gorge with a thunderous fall before your very own eyes.

 

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park Game Drive

Murchison Falls National Park is the biggest park in Uganda offering fulfilling game viewing. After an early break-fast we start the day with a game drive on the northern bank of River Nile, and look out forgiraffes, elephants, hartebeest, Buffaloes, Leopards, Lions and different bird species.

Indeed, it is a privilege to watch wild animals in their habitat as they eat, play, and protect their young. In the afternoon, the safari will continue on the River Nile. The relaxed boat safari provides more opportunities for spotting a variety of animals and birds. Watch the water at the Murchison falls – the ‘devils cauldron’. This kind of boat cruise is only found in Uganda in the whole of Africa.

 

Day 4: Chimps in Kibale Forest National Park

Today we depart for the home of the Chimpanzee in Kibale National Park – the primate capital of East Africa. Kibale Forest is home to 13 species of primates, with the main attraction being chimpanzee tracking. On this journey, you have stunning views as you pass small villages, local markets, and several bird species. This is a day’s trip with a packed lunch or in a town enroute.

 

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking In Uganda

Kibale National Park is the primate capital of East Africa. Chimpanzee trekking is a fulfilling adventure that takes you deep into the tropical forest across streams of water. You may also have sightings of red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the canopies. With the help of your guide, you will locate the chimps. Enjoy picture moments and watch them as they play and feed. After lunch, visit Bigodi Village and the swamp known for its rich diversity of birds and primates, depending on the availability of time.

 

Day 6: Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, after breakfast, our tour continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying views of several crater lakes and the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges enroute. On arrival in the park, we shall have a small game drive as we proceed to the lodge for lunch and a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The boat safari offers you great photo sessions in a relaxed way with lots of bird life on the shores, crocodiles, and elephants.

 

Day 7: Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park

The animals in their different families, clans, and groups are out starting on their day. Notice the difference between the animals in their natural habitat and those caged in zoos. Have a game drive in Kasenyi plains in the open-roof safari cars. Proceed to Ishasha, famed for the tree-climbing lions, and search for them with the help of rangers. Lunch will be a picnic or at the lodge.

 

Day 8: Expedition To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today, we start our journey to the home of the gentle giants of Bwindi. This fulfilling journey takes us through the Kigezi highlands with great scenery of terraced hills. Lunch will be along the way or at the lodge, depending on the time of arrival. Your lodge in or adjustment to the impenetrable forest will offer you great rest as you prepare for the next day’s trek.

 

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking In Uganda

The highlight of your safari will be meeting the gentle giants of Bwindi National Park! Enjoy the fullness of the impenetrable forest abounding with life, host to several species of birds, butterflies, primates, mammals. Eventually with help of your guide who is also a park ranger, you will find yourself face to face with the enormous and rare mountain gorillas. The trekking experience takes anything from on hour (rarely) to about 8 hours to accomplish. However, you only have one hour with gorillas to capture your finest moment. Suggested activities for those not interested in gorilla tracking is a community village walk or a short guided forest walk.

 

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park for Wildlife

The journey to Lake Mburo NP is through beautiful landscapes, plantations, and farms. Have a visit to a cultural Museum- exhibiting the life of the native people of the area. Have lunch/picnic at a restaurant along the way. Arrive in the park later that afternoon and take a boat trip on Lake Mburo.

 

Day 11: Tour to Jinja

After an early breakfast, we take a game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. We later proceed to Kampala, with a stopover at the famous Equator line. Have lunch in the city or Equator, depending on arrival time, and proceed to Jinja. Jinja is home to the Source of the River Nile.

 

Day 12: White Water Rafting on the River Nile

In Jinja, the Nile finds its origin; visit the Source of the River Nile, where it starts its 4000km journey through Africa, and a great challenge for rafters. A 10 Day Uganda Safari: Gorillas & Chimp, Wildlife Adventure offers an exciting adventure combining gorilla and chimpanzee tracking with wildlife viewing. The itinerary typically includes visits to Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. Travelers can expect game drives, boat cruises, and primate tracking experiences, including gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking.

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe International Airport to Kampala

Our driver/ guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda from Entebbe International Airport. He will transport you to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, where he will drop you to the hotel and brief you on the history of Uganda and brief on safari. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Our driver will transfer you to Murchison Falls, driving northwest, passing by the famous Luwero Triangle, and then proceed to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project. Our driver will drive you to ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking. You will have a lunch stop and then proceed to Murchison falls.

 

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat Ride

Early in the morning, you will have a game drive around the northern banks of the River Nile. You have great chances of spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, hartebeest, to list the and bird species. Head for lunch, and afternoon you will go for a boat ride. You will take a boat ride to the bottom of the falls, and you will see how the water forces itself out of the rocks. You will view hippos and other animals drinking water from the riverbank. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Enjoy an African cup of coffee, and the driver will transfer you to Kibale National Park. You will be view local homesteads, green countryside, and local farms along the Albertine Rift escarpment. The journey takes 7-8 hours by car and you will check in at the hotel on arrival.

 

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and visiting the Bigodi Swamp

Take breakfast, report to headquarters for briefing. Enter the jungle to search for chimpanzees. Game rangers know where to find the chimpanzees easily, after find the chimpanzee spend one hour with them. Return for lunch, after lunch head to Bigodi swamp which is well known for best destination for birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park will start off after your morning breakfast. The driver will drive through the south passing the Crater Lake area, you will be viewing beautiful landscape and rolling hills. You might have a chance of viewing animals from the road from queen elizbeth national park. Check-in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Take African cup of coffee and head to park for game drive, expect to see to see buffaloes, lions to list the few and variety of bird species. Head back to the lodge for lunch, after you go for an exciting boat cruise along the kazinga channel. You will spot a lot of animals during boat ride like hippos, buffalos, and elephant’s drinking water. End of the day back to the lodge.

 

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

Take African coffee and then the driver will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for gorilla trekking. You will pass via the Ishaha area where you will see tree-climbing lions and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

 

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking

Take cup of coffee and report to the headquarters for a briefing from the game rangers. You should carry packed lunch from lodge, enough drinking water and trekking equipment. Enter the jungle and the trekking will start. After finding the gorillas family will spend one hour with the gorillas and then return to the lodge.

 

Day 10: Transfer to Kampala

You will have breakfast and after breakfast our driver will be waiting to transfer back to Kampala. You will have stopover from mbarara town for lunch and then proceed to Uganda equator for photo shots. You will arrival to Kampala; the driver will either drop you to the hotel or to Entebbe international airport to catch-up with your flight. Day 1: Warm welcome to Uganda

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport. A representative from Simba Gorilla Frontiers shall welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation. You shall be briefed by our driver guide regarding the tour, and also respond to all your questions. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 2: Transfer to Sezibwa Falls, Mabira Forest & Jinja

After an early morning breakfast, start your journey off with eastern Uganda. You will drive through Kampala and head eastwards along the Kampala – Jinja highway. The first turn-off is to the Sezibwa Falls, a Buganda cultural heritage site, with beautiful waterfalls and a cool atmosphere. Spend an hour here hiking the rocks, watching birds, and learning about the myths of the falls and the ancient traditional worship that is still practiced here. Thereafter, return to the road and make another stopover at Mabira Rainforest – the largest forest in Central Uganda. Head out for a 2-hour trek to track the habituated Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, watch lots of birds, monkeys, and enjoy the aroma of an African jungle. Return and get back on the road and drive to Jinja. Check in at your accommodation, have lunch, and thereafter head out for an hour boat ride on Lake Victoria to the Source of the Nile after transfer to your lodge.

 

Day 3: Transfer to Mbale – Sipi Falls hike experience

Today on your 18 Day Ultimate Uganda Safari: Gorillas, Chimps, Wildlife & Culture: you will drive out of Jinja and head further eastwards through Mbale town to Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa District. The Sipi Falls are a series of three stunning waterfalls situated in the foothills of Mountain Elgon. The Sipi Falls area, found at the base of Mount Elgon, is particularly famous for Bugisu Arabica Coffee produced and grown by the Local farmers.

Check in at the accommodation (Sipi River Lodge), refresh, and thereafter head out for a 3 – 4-hour trek up and down the foothills of Mountain Elgon, visiting each of the three waterfalls and enjoying spectacular vistas from up Mountain Elgon to the flat plains of Karamoja in the distance. Return to your lodge for lunch. Later, you could opt to walk through the local communities and coffee farmlands. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

Day 4: Depart Mount Elgon for Kidepo Valley National Park

Today, after an early breakfast, embark on a long drive to the north of Uganda and get to Kidepo Valley National Park – arguably Africa’s most spectacular wilderness. Lunch en route. Arrive at the park in the evening and transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

The Park lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, some 740 km from Kampala. It has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species. Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park, but the few who make the long journey north agree that it is also the most magnificent and ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses.

 

Day 5: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park on a game drive

After your early morning breakfast, start your drive through the Narus Valley, where you will have a nature walk to the Hot springs. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will enjoy another game drive. Kidepo Valley National Park is a savannah landscape that extends in all directions. It is home to elephants, zebras, giraffes, huge herds of buffalo, warthogs, duikers, Jackson’s Hartebeest, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hundreds of bird species. Afterward, you will retire to your accommodation, and later in the evening, you may opt to do a community visit.

 

Day 6: Depart the Land of Cheetahs for Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, check out and depart for Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda’s largest game park. You will stopover in Gulu town to have lunch. You will get to Murchison Falls National Park in the evening, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 7: Morning Game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile

After breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park, where you will have the opportunity of viewing lions, giraffes, elephants, Leopards, Hyenas, buffalo, and Jackson Hartebeest. Oribi, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, among others. For any birder, this area supports the secretary bird, like the black chested snake eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles, Carmine and Swallow-Tailed Bee-Eaters, and many others. Later, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch and after go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile, where you will spot lots of animals, including hippos, crocodiles, and several water birds. Thereafter, you will return to your lodge or have an optional evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Depart Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to the top of the falls. While there, you will enjoy the spectacular view of the most powerful waterfall in the world, Murchison Falls. Thereafter, you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. On your way, you will have a stopover for lunch in Fort Portal before proceeding to Kibale Forest National Park. you may have a short city drive and then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, where you will arrive in the late afternoon, check into your accommodation, and spend the rest of the day and overnight at the lodge.

 

Day 9: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk

Today, you will track the most famous inhabitants of Kibale National Park, the chimpanzees. With over 1,450 individuals protected within the park, Kibale Forest is home to the largest number of the endangered chimpanzees in Uganda, as well as the threatened red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. The forest has one of the highest diversities and densities of primates in Africa, totaling 13 species. In the afternoon, after tracking, you have the opportunity for a guided walk through the swamps of Bigodi. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 10: Drive to Semuliki National Park

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Semuliki National Park, situated about two and a half hours’ drive from Kibale Forest. Upon arrival, hike to the iconic Sempaya Hot Springs. Transfer to your accommodation for lunch, later set out for a game drive for some wildlife sighting which includes Uganda kob, reedbuck, savanna elephant, duiker, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, and birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 11: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you will drive to the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will stopover in Fort Portal town to have lunch, then you will proceed to the park and have an evening game drive in search of wildlife species such as Hippos, Buffalos, and others. Thereafter, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Briefly, Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most visited game park and arguably the most scenic. The national park protects the vast Savannah plains, bushland, wetlands, and forests that lie at the base of the Rwenzori Mountain range. Kazinga Channel, which flows through the park and connects Lake George in the East to Lake Edward in the West, attracts a rich array of birds and animals, including the infamous Nile crocodile and one of the world’s largest concentrations of hippos. On your first game drive, you will explore the park along with a 200-kilometer network of well-maintained game viewing tracks.

 

Day 12: Morning Game drive and boat cruise along the Kazinga channel

On this day, after your breakfast and head out for an early Morning Game Drive. There are over 100 mammal species that include Lions, Hippos, buffalo, Leopards, Spotted Hyenas, Elephants, and the elusive Giant Forest Hog in this park. The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black-faced Red Colobus, Red-tailed Monkeys, and Olive Baboons.

Later in the day, when the sun is high in the sky and the animals make their way to the river for a drink, we will head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat cruise. You will spot more hippos today than you can imagine. Herds of elephants and buffalo will also wander down to the shoreline to bathe in the cooling waters. A boat cruise is a fantastic way to get close to wildlife, and for many visitors, and the highlight of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Important to note that the Kazinga Channel has the highest concentration of Hippos in the World.

 

Day 13: Visit Katwe Salt Lake and the crater lakes visit

On this day, you will have breakfast and head westwards to Katwe Salt Lake for an amazing experience of how salt is mined from the lake, there after you will have lunch and head for a drive to the crater lakes, concluding the day with an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

 

Day 14: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector

After breakfast, on your 18 Day Ultimate Uganda Safari: Gorillas, Chimps, Wildlife & Culture, you will have a morning game drive in Ishasha, discovering other hiding spots that the tree-climbing lions enjoy. Afterward, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. Then head to the camp and relax for the preparation of gorilla trekking the following day. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

 

Day 15: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Batwa Community Walk

On this day, you will wake up very early, have breakfast, pick a packed lunch, and transfer to at park offices for a briefing by the rangers. You are assigned the habituated gorilla group you shall track and set off into Bwindi Forest to search for the Gorillas. After locating the Gorilla, you will spend one hour with them, then return to find your driver, who will transfer you back to your lodge, refresh, and later visit the Batwa community. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

 

Day 16: Canoe ride and relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi

On this day, you shall have an exciting Canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi. In the afternoon, you may have optional activities: a Canoe boat ride, a swim in the bilharzia-free lake, or you may also explore a nearby village. Residents are happy about your visit and are open to explaining their daily lives or spending all day enjoying the soothing atmosphere of Lake Bunyonyi and the magnificent highland scenery all around. Lunch, dinner, and an overnight at your lodge.

 

Day 17: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park and game drive

After breakfast, on your 18 Day Ultimate Uganda Safari: Gorillas, Chimps, Wildlife & Culture, check out and travel to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival in Lake Mburo, drive through the game trails and view a number of wildlife including zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elands, waterbucks, birds, and marvelous scenery.

Continue to check in at your accommodation, refresh, and have lunch, or you may opt to have Lunch in Mbarara town. Later, set out for a relaxing evening boat ride on Lake Mburo and also view some wildlife, including hippos and several birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 18: Nature walks and transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe

Early in the morning, have a guided nature walk, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. After that, you will start your journey back to Entebbe. Cross the equator and have time to take photos at the equator. Buy a few souvenirs and have a quick picnic lunch. Later, you depart heading to Entebbe International Airport. A 3-day Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari in Uganda offers a great opportunity to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. The safari typically includes game drives, a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, and potentially chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge.

 

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast for day one will be provided at the hotel or your place of residence, followed by a meet, greet, and briefing on the 3-day Queen Elizabeth Tour by our driver. There will be a number of stopovers, including at the Uganda Equator along Masaka road. Here you will be able to stand in both the northern and southern hemispheres and also experiment with how water swirls in different directions when placed in the northern and southern hemispheres. Take photos and even buy some of the beautiful souvenirs. Head straight to the lodge.

 

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start the day with early game drives that expose us to diverse animals, including the Big Five—elephants, buffalo, big cats- lions, leopards, and rhinos. More times in the evening, warthogs, hunchbacked carnivals like hyenas are spotted along the circuits as we drive along, and many more species that are residents of this park. There is a rich birdlife, especially our version of storks in the wetland spots, as we reach the flamingoes in the salt lakes at Kasenyi.

Enjoy a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel, a 36km channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. Here you’ll see land and water adapted hippos yawning, the National Geographic Society killing machine, the Nile crocodile, gaping along the banks, and the savannah version of pigs, the warthog-Pumba is a hallmark sign in this animal home. With your binoculars along the peninsula, you’ll have a magnificent view of birds and animals like the ever-playing African elephants in the water.

 

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

This morning, you’ll go on a chimpanzee trek in Kalinzu Forest. Enjoy the walk through the forest and the fascinating meeting with the chimpanzees. After the trek, embark on the drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator and lunch in Masaka. Drive back through to Kampala as we have reached the end of the 3-day Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari tour in Uganda. Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the evening.

A 3-day gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda, offers a chance to encounter mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The experience includes trekking through the forest, observing the gorillas for an hour, and potentially engaging in other activities like village walks or birding.

 

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Having had breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up by our representative so as to set off from Kampala early enough, so as to be on the road as you drive southwest to Bwindi Forest. Along the way, you will then have a stopover at the equator, where you could take pictures to keep the memory, grab refreshments, and there are also craft shops that are well stocked with African items, so you can visit them in case of interested. When back on the road to continue your journey, you will be able to have great views of the landscape, a beautiful panorama, plus the great and hospitable Ankole people. Your next stop will be in Mbarara town for lunch, maybe plus a little shopping, and then head straight for the park

 

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Having dressed up accordingly for the trekking activity, your early morning breakfast will be your packed lunch and water. get to the park headquarters in time for the briefing before you head on for the activity. Then head into the forest to search for the mountain gorillas in the dense forested area with slippery slopes and the mist-covered vegetation. After breakfast and a briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start a 30–minute to 8–hour trek to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist-covered vegetation. The activity is surely strenuous, but then again, fully rewarding in the sight of the huge gorillas, you will be able to take pictures and observe their various characteristics as they feed, play, and relate. You’re allowed a full hour with these creatures and thereafter head back, freshen up dinner, and overnight.

 

Day 3: Drive to Kampala

This day will mark the end of your three-day safari. You will check out of the hotel with your backpack pack then embark on the journey to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo cultural centre, where you will have lunch and also take a mini tour in the centre to know more about the Ankole culture. Then drive to Kampala, it could be to the hotel or the airport in case you’re catching your flight back. End of 3 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour to Bwindi.
